Forty Story: Portfolio View. The Forty Story is a phenomenal portfolio video from Pentagram. Rather than use the standard “This is our work, this is what we do” format, they’ve constructed a narrative based around a boy born on the day Pentagram opened, and how his life has paralleled forty years of Pentagram design. It’s really interesting and completely engaging.

I love Garance Doré’s Pardon My French pieces. This week she interviews  Stella McCartney!

I have a weird (aesthetic) obsession with vintage-looking fridge’s…. so naturally I liked SF Girl By Bay’s post here

I don’t know about you, but this time of year has my mind and imagination racing…. where to travel to? Even if I can’t afford a trip, I sure like to live vicariously. If you’re like me, check out my friend’s blog HoneyTrek. The concept? These newlyweds quit their jobs and took a year off to travel around the world for a 500 day honeymoon and an experience of a lifetime.

Following Myfonts on Facebook was both a good and bad thing for me to do. Today they announced Trend is on sale…. how can I not buy it? Check it out along with other fonts the foundry LatinoType has done… I want them all!

There’s nothing like the start of a new year to make you think about how quickly time passes. Check out this amazing time-lapse video of New York City.

An infographic of the biggest moments in social media this year.

Post-holidays for me means lots of thank-you note writing… check out my little collection of thank you cards (and other stationary favorites) over on Luvocracy.

One of my favorite things about the end of the year is everyone’s Best Of Lists. Best of Music! Best of Books! (It’s a fun way to do a little quality shopping for yourself too in the new year). Today I present to you links from everyone else’s Best Of’s…. and one from Yours Truly.

A wanderer at heart, I loved Apartment Therapy’s Best of 2012 City Guides, focused on guides for the design lovers! Time to get packing.

The big shake-up this week in the social media world was the news that Facebook-owned Instagram has the right to sell your photo’s to advertisers.

I loved Nubby Twiglet’s DIY holiday ornament tutorial this week!

One of my favorite resources for beautifully crafted fonts has released a new font! Dude! Thanks Lost Type! A huge fan of Western typefaces, I couldn’t be more excited.

I’ve been loving looking through Blood & Champagne for interior inspiration.

I love the collaboration Madewell did with artist Rebeca Raney!

The look of chalk lettering is such a thing now. There’s a great font that mimics this look I discovered this week over at Myfonts... want!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving this year! Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays. I love that moment of reflection and gratitude. I have so much to be thankful for.

I was excited to download the latest Music Mix from Miss Moss this week.

I’m not a huge DIY person, but I thought the DIY holiday ornament tutorial over on Design Love Fest was really cute… I might have to try this one.

I was looking for some cool Holiday cards to send out this year and I love these on Etsy.

I’m not a huge YouTube watcher but this Hipster Thanksgiving video had me dying with laughter. Your Welcoming. (You will get that reference IF you watch the video)

This time of year is one of my favorites, although the holidays can be overwhelming- I love the opportunity for a little time off work, seeing family, and spending time with friends. Most importantly, I value the time to reflect and reboot for the year ahead. That’s why I really liked the idea of #blockfriday. Will you do it? (via Nubby Twiglet)

Wow… what a week! Coming into work and leaving super late every night has left little time for reading my favorite links elsewhere on the web. This is the week of No Links Loved! But, if you’d like to see what I WAS doing this week, be sure to check out the new campaigns over on Bumble and bumble. Really happy with how Holiday and Semisumo turned out!

Have a great weekend everyone!

Wow. What an epic week this has been for the East Coast as Hurricane Sandy took us by storm (unfortunate pun). Bekka Palmer kept track of all the cool and important things on Sandy over on her blog.

I loved the Halloween-inspired post Honey Kennedy did on black cats from vintage Life Magazine images… so good!

I loved looking at Leah and Bill’s Modern Love Nest over on Apartment Therapy.

I guess I was stuck on home-related design this week, as I spent more time then usual in my apartment due to Hurricane Sandy. Also on Apartment Therapy, I totally dug The Colors of the 70s.

I loved the post on the Palace of Versailles over on From Me to you. The photography is stunning, as usual.

If you live in the Delaware area, House Industries is doing an exhibit on Photo-Lettering. Looks pretty cool.

A friend sent over this link for 25 free headline fonts. They are all pretty fantastic!

A new site called Luvocracy launched this week. I’ve already signed up and I have a good feeling about this one. As they describe it on their site, “We are building a new marketplace around the explosion in social sharing. We do that by creating a way for people to buy recommendations from people whose taste they trust. And we build that into an economy by allowing everyone to participate in the value that they create.”

Thanks to Nubby Twiglet’s mention yesterday, I’m now obsessed with this tumblr all of vintage shopping bags. Obsessed with obsession.

I’m a sucker for anything nautically inspired… so of course I loved The Daily Heller’s post today on vintage ships.

I love Myfonts Creative Characters newsletter and always enjoy reading their profiles on various typographers…. this week was no exception! (Why is everyone from South America an AMAZING type designer?)

Shopghost. Seemed appropriate to post something with the word “ghost” in the title.

Boo! Have a happy Halloween weekend!

One of my very best friends just started a design blog! It already seems content-rich and I can’t wait to make it a regular read: http://amaridesplays.com/

I’m going to a big networking event tomorrow and just realized today… I DON’T HAVE ANY BUSINESS CARDS! How is that possible? I’m a designer! Time to fix that. In the meantime, i have a collections of favorites over on my Pinterest.
